After my mom had a major health issue and got very sick once, she lost so much weight that her face became dry and her wrinkles got deeper. So while I’ve been doing filial-duty weight-gain support for my mom, I’ve also been getting her various procedures, and among them I liked that Rejuran seemed to improve things a bit. Back then, before I knew about this community, I mainly used the ㄱㄴㅇㄴ and ㅂㅂㅌ apps.
Her first Rejuran was at a plastic surgery clinic on ㅂㅂㅌ that did 4 cc under sedation. Since I went with her, I got Botox too lol. They said it was 4 cc, but there were very, very few embossing bumps. Since it can vary by person, I tried to think positively that it could happen. The anesthesia was done with propofol, and after anesthesia she woke up cleanly within a short time.
The reason I didn’t choose this place for the second round was that even though I got Botox in my glabella, temporalis muscles, and square jaw, the effect was minimal. It seemed very diluted. Especially the glabella had no effect at all....ㅠ At another clinic, I was asked whether I really had gotten my glabella treated. So I looked for a different clinic for the second round.
My mom’s second Rejuran was at a clinic. This place also did 4 cc under sedation. The consultation manager here was really pressuring and not great. Kind of like a scammer vibe.. She was a plump, middle-aged-lady type consultation manager, and she kept recommending packages costing several million won. Even when I refused, she kept pressuring me again and again.
I’m kind of an easy mark, so if I like a place and the consultation is good, I often buy packages, but the reason I didn’t do it here was because it felt too scammy. While getting the consultation, I thought I should only get today’s treatment and never come back.
After the consultation, I was even more convinced this wasn’t a clinic I’d return to. They had a big sign in the lobby saying Chanel injection 3 cc was 75,000 won, but during the consultation they quoted 100,000 won. When I checked later, it was the same procedure and same volume. I found out after the consultation and payment were already done... I was dumbfounded. Over twenty or thirty thousand won, I completely lost goodwill.
For the time being, my mom went in for the procedure and I waited. I had come in a good mood and didn’t want to ruin it, so I thought I should ask by phone later. I took a photo of the poster in the lobby, and after my mom’s procedure I asked again how many cc the Chanel injection was, and confirmed it was the same volume.
On top of that, because of the anesthesia, I’ll never go there again. After my mom’s procedure ended and she came out, she couldn’t properly wake up for 2 hours.. She said she was dizzy and couldn’t walk, so she lay there for over 2 hours before leaving. Even though it was a simple procedure, I don’t know how strongly they mixed sedatives with the anesthetic, but the anesthesia that she had fully woken from in 15 minutes the first time was still hard after 2 hours. Also, maybe because they couldn’t find a vein and had to inject again, the back of her hand was badly bruised blue.
The woman who had the procedure after my mom and was lying together in the recovery room said that even if it takes a long time, make sure to fully wake up before leaving, because she had just left before and then vomited and collapsed on the subway. So we stayed lying there for a long time with an IV until she felt better, then came home by taxi.
As for the procedure’s effect, my mom was more satisfied than with the first clinic. She said it would have been fine if only the anesthesia hadn’t been way too strong. The first time she only got Rejuran, and the second time it was Rejuran + Chanel, so that makes sense.
After that, because of my extreme laziness and forgetfulness, I forgot to complain or write a review lolol. I just told people around me not to go to this clinic and left it at that.
I found out about this community and remembered while browsing, so I’m writing this. Honestly, both clinics’ event prices for 4 cc under sedation were so cheap that I do wonder whether they really put in all 4 cc.. but there’s no way to know. They don’t do 4 cc events without sedation lol Next time I’m thinking of getting 2 cc without sedation together with my mom lol
