Cheekbone Surgery Reviews@cheekbone-review

Day 2 after cheekbone reduction

I had cheekbone reduction the day before yesterday... On the day of surgery, I felt nauseous all day because of the anesthesia, so I just lay down, and yesterday I came back to life haha. Now I’m going to write a bit of a day-2 review.

First of all, I have a peanut-shaped face, and I really didn’t want to have surgery, so I tried famous and expensive injections, InMode, and square jaw Botox. They all did have some effect, but since it’s bone after all, it was never going to turn out exactly the way I wantedㅠㅠ So after really thinking about it, I aimed for the Lunar New Year holiday and ended up getting my cheekbones done... Actually, my square jaw is the biggest issue, but that’s too scary, and cheekbones seemed simpler compared with the jaw(?)...

First, I didn’t go to a lot of consultations. Ever since I was still thinking about it, I looked through reviews and events and chose one hospital I liked, then had a consultation there and booked right away. In the middle, I got anxious and looked into getting consultations elsewhere too, but they were already fully booked, so I couldn’tㅠ The place I consulted at had pretty good facilities, and compared with when I had my eyes done, the waiting time was on the shorter side. The consultant was very kind, and the director said my face was one where the before-and-after would be very different, so it was perfect for surgery. I wasn’t sure if that was a compliment or an insult, but... They also recommended square jaw surgery, but I firmly chose only cheekbones!

I was so nervous on the day of surgery. The process was: I arrived, changed clothes, brushed my teeth, gargled, washed my face, and went into the operating room. The operating room was smaller than what I’d seen in dramas, but it still felt like an operating room... As soon as I lay down, tears started pouring out because I was so scaredㅠㅠ I was so grateful that the nurses held my hand and comforted meㅠㅠ While I was crying, I heard them say the anesthetic was going in, and then I passed out... When I opened my eyes to someone calling my name, I saw the operating table lights, and when I closed and opened my eyes again, I was in the recovery roomㅋㅋㅋ I don’t even remember how I got there,,, My whole face was throbbing, but it didn’t feel painful. I had to urinate before I could be discharged, so I tried moving, and wow, I felt so nauseous. I barely managed to get discharged and slept all day. The anesthesia was harder than the surgery itselfㅠㅠ

My face seems very swollen, but they said it actually isn’t that swollen. Today is supposed to be the day it swells the most, and it’s better than I expected, but it is swollen enough that it feels like it would burst if I touch itㅠㅠ Still, my cheekbones are goneㅠㅠ I’m so happyㅠㅠ I think I’ll only know once the swelling goes down quickly, but for now I’m so happy that my facial line has become smootherㅠㅠ My face is swollen and round, but I like this too because my square jaw doesn’t showㅠㅠ I think daily life will be possible once the swelling goes down a bit... My face feels so heavy because of the swelling. I also saw the CT yesterday, and it was really amazing how my cheekbones got smaller. Just as the director said, the before-and-after difference is huge, so I feel good.
