Before the double eyelid surgery, I had ptosis, and because I had a lot of fat above my eyes, my eyes were quite covered. I added epicanthoplasty to get rid of the Mongolian folds.. During the consultation, I only asked them to be careful about making the line look sausage-like ㅎ
Right before surgery, I looked in the mirror with the director while they drew the line and checked whether it looked okay. In the middle, it felt like the anesthesia had worn off, so I said it stung, and they gave me one more anesthetic injection. After the surgery, I sat on something like a big sofa, rested a bit while doing a cold compress, and left when the dizziness got better.
I think I may be an unusual case, but for me, my eyes only felt a bit numb on the day of the double eyelid surgery, and from the next day they didn’t hurt at all and I didn’t get any bruising,, The tape they put above my eyes fell off after about 4 days? so I removed it.. For about 3 days I applied the ointment prescribed by the hospital, used eye drops, and took anti-inflammatory medication, but after that I got lazy and didn’t really do it...ㅎ They also gave me a compress device for cold compresses for my eyes, but I only used it for two days.
A week later, I went to the hospital to get the stitches removed, and strangely, my swelling went down really fast, so I just went around without wearing sunglasses. I was worried because I heard removing the epicanthoplasty stitches hurts a lot, but it didn’t hurt at allㅋㅋㅋ After the stitches were removed, I lay down and received some swelling-reduction machine...? treatment and then came home. Today is exactly 2 weeks since surgery! I originally had really, really a lot of fat above my eyes.. so I’m not sure whether it’s swelling or fat, but there’s still some left above the line. Still, my ptosis is gone and my eyelashes are clearly visible now, so I’m really satisfied ㅎ.ㅎ
