I got braces in 11th grade, and after finishing 2 and a half years of orthodontic treatment, I found wearing the retainer annoying, so I didn’t wear it properly. It’s now been 5 years since I stopped wearing it completely, and I guess my teeth are slowly shifting back.. The area that used to be a snaggletooth seems to be coming up again, so I’m really upset. But doing orthodontic treatment again would take my time and pain... I think everyone needs to be careful about deciding on orthodontic treatment too. If you can’t manage the aftercare, it costs money and time, and orthodontic treatment especially really takes a lot of time. If you’ve had orthodontic treatment, even if it’s annoying, make sure you keep wearing your retainer!!
