I went for consultations at three clinics—[Clinic A], [Clinic B], and [Clinic C]—for facial-contour revision surgery. I barely remember my first consultation because it was so long ago, but there was definitely much more to ask this time My biggest concerns were that my cheekbones had not been reduced as much as I expected and that my cheeks had sagged over time, so I brought those up first at all three clinics. I mainly asked how much improvement was realistically possible through revision based on my existing bones and whether pin removal could be done at the same time.
[Clinic A] first asked about the areas I cared about most and then explained things while looking at my face overall. They did not focus only on the cheekbones; they also considered how the front and side lines connected, which made it easy to understand. It felt like they balanced the changes I wanted with what was realistically possible for my current face. I said that this time I wanted to see some effect rather than merely looking very natural, but I liked most that they did not automatically suggest reducing everything a lot—they explained while considering the overall proportions. Even after the consultation, [Clinic A]’s explanation stayed on my mind the most.
[Clinic B] immediately pointed out the area that bothered me most when I looked in the mirror. They said I should separately consider what could be addressed around the cheekbones through revision and what only looked that way because of sagging, which felt realistic. I am still deliberating over whether I should also have liposuction, so I asked various questions about that too. The consultation felt quite practical.
[Clinic C] stood out because they explained things while looking at the CT. They first checked the current condition of the bones operated on previously, then went through one by one which areas could be revised. When I said I was also considering pin removal, they looked at that too. Rather than claiming revision would make me look dramatically different, they spoke realistically, which actually put me at ease. I am a little worried because we did not discuss my preferred aesthetic very much All three consultations were decent, but right now I am leaning a little more toward [Clinic A] It felt like the direction I wanted and the doctor’s approach matched best. Still, I am afraid to decide immediately because it is a revision, so I am continuing to deliberate
