I have monolids, and I went around to consultations for my first double eyelid surgery. The opinions were all differentㅜㅜ
1. ㄴㅅㅎ There was almost no wait, and after the consultant asked a few simple questions, I met the doctor (ㅅ). They asked what I wanted and tried making a line on only one eye about a couple of times. They simply recommended natural adhesion. That was what I wanted too, so I had no disagreement. I liked that they said I didn’t need anything else, but it bothered me a bit that they only tried the line on one side. The consultation time was very short and simple, but clear. AS for 3 years. 2. ㅇㅂㅅ There was about a 20-minute wait, and after the consultant asked a few simple questions, I met the doctor (ㅂ). While trying the line several times, they mentioned my asymmetrical eyes. They said one eye in particular had less strength, so I would need ptosis correction. When I said I wanted a non-incisional method, they said it was possible. They said that with a non-incisional method, even after surgery, the eyes would not be perfectly symmetrical. It felt honest and straightforward. I was surprised because they said I definitely needed ptosis correction.
3. ㅂ They took photos first, then the consultant gave a general explanation, and then I met the doctor (ㅎ). They said I needed an incision method and ptosis correction. They said they would not do a non-incisional method. I hadn’t even thought about ptosis correction, but they recommended incision too, so I was completely flustered. The most expensive.
4. ㅎㄹ Waited about 1 hour. The consultant first diagnosed me while making the line. (I didn’t like this.) Even though it was late, the doctor was kind and had good energy. The line was the prettiest. They said it was pseudoptosis and recommended natural adhesion and ptosis correction. But they have so many surgeries scheduled that the date is the latest... only possible around February.
If it’s pseudoptosis, do I need ptosis correction? I’m worried and anxious..
