As I get older, because of under-eye hollows and sagging under-eye fat, I went for consultations at a few places I thought were well known. Because my under-eye skin is thin and sensitive, I searched for places that perform the most minimal surgery possible, but most under-eye fat repositioning clinics often performed surgery together with fat grafting. First, I had consultations to find out what surgery would be right for me.
1. HM Plastic Surgery / one specialist / fat repositioning, which they call fat transfer there (no other fat grafting needed) / cost in the low 2 million won range / Hmm..... The fact that they would proceed only with repositioning (transfer) without fat grafting was what I liked most, so this was the place I had the highest expectations for before the consultation, but after the consultation, the doctor’s disorganized explanation made me lose some trust. Throughout the consultation, I felt very frustrated because there were no precise answers to my questions, and I couldn’t tell what the doctor wanted to say to the patient. Since there was no clear explanation of the surgical method, this is a hospital I’m still debating about.
2. OST Plastic Surgery / three specialists / fat repositioning + fat grafting / Director Kim, low 2 million won range (surgery cost differs by doctor) / First, I had a consultation with the consultant. I was told that because I have little fat under my eyes, grafting is absolutely necessary. The difference was that fat harvested from the abdomen would be grafted into the deep area under the eyes. The part that is hardest for me to understand is repositioning the fat and then adding other fat, so I’m debating it.
3. SSY Plastic Surgery / one specialist / fat repositioning + microfat grafting / high 2 million won range / I liked the consultation with the consultant and doctor and the surgical photos, but they said they graft fat between the skin and muscle to improve dark circles or hollow areas. If only fat repositioning is needed, they can proceed with just that, but they said my type is one that needs grafting together.
4. Cheongdam OSOO / A place that only does repositioning. Before visiting, when I called to make an appointment, I was informed of the price, and it was much higher than I expected, so I canceled the visit (the price differs by age group). I was told it was 8** for people in their 40s.
I still haven’t decided on a surgery hospital, and I’m thinking of going ahead after doing a little more legwork.
