I'm writing this hoping my post can be a ray of hope for someone else.
I had silicone + ear cartilage that had been in for over 10 years removed.
Honestly... I was at a point where wanting to live safely and without worry was stronger than wanting to be pretty, so these 7 months since surgery have made me so happy. If it's the opposite for you, I think you can live a bit longer looking prettier and then have removal surgery when you feel ready, like I did.
In terms of beauty, the nose was prettier when it was higher. I think it was really pretty until about 3 years after surgery. lol But after more time passes, the silicone sags a bit and the cartilage shows through. From then on you start thinking about revision surgery, but fortunately I went with removal. I have no regrets.
For a month or two after surgery, it felt like the stretched skin was lifted, so it was a bit unpleasant, but these days that empty space seems to have lowered and adhered to some extent. I love that my nostrils have become round. It's also so fascinating that when I touch my nose, it moves side to side. I'm genuinely happy that I don't focus on my nose as much anymore.
The downside is... as the nose gets lower, the overall vibe of the face becomes a bit more plain and down-to-earth. Maybe saying it becomes cuter is more accurate? For a while, I had a lot of facial recognition errors. If that's a downside, then that's the downside.
The end of tuning is stock. If I went back to my 20s, I wouldn't get nose surgery or eyebrow tattooing... lolol I absolutely do not recommend surgery that puts in implants.
