First of all, the reason I’m getting surgery is because of sausage-like double eyelids. It’s not extremely severe, but it bothers me, and I like a line that isn’t too high, but it’s a bit higher than I expected, so I’m getting surgery to lower it. (Incisional ptosis correction 5 years ago) I’ve only gone to two places for consultations so farㅠ I booked appointments at ㅇㄹㅇ and ㅇㅋ next Friday, but it feels a bit insufficientㅠ It hasn’t been easy to get appointments latelyㅠ If there are any places worth going to for consultations for sausage-eye revision surgery, please lightly recommend them too haha
1. ㅇㄴ (ㄱㅌㄱ) This is the clinic where I had surgery 5 years ago. I had it done by Director ㄱㅅㅇ, but they said he doesn’t do eyes anymore, so I had a consultation with Director ㄱㅌㄱ. Maybe because this is where I had it done, or maybe because I didn’t fully remove my makeup before going, I don’t know, but the consultant said the surgery turned out well and tried to stop me from doing it. But somehow it felt like they wouldn’t do revision surgery because it was the clinic that had done it before. It kind of felt like they didn’t want to admit that I wasn’t satisfied with the surgery? I also saw the doctor, and the doctor tried to stop me in the same way. They didn’t even tell me the price at all, and when I said I was considering lower blepharoplasty/fat repositioning, they only told me the price for that. So I got confused, wondering, is it really okay..? It was my first consultation, you know.
2. ㅌㅇㅅ (ㅇㅅㄱ) Here, from the moment I consulted with the consultant, she first said she understood what my concern was. So I felt like I’d been fooled at ㅇㄴ.. I had a consultation with Director ㅇㅅㄱ, and he did examine me carefully. But I also felt like he was recommending too many things. The recommendations were double-line excision, upper eyelid fat repositioning, ptosis correction, forehead lift (+ lower blepharoplasty/fat repositioning). He said that if I had surgery, it would have to be lowered quite a lot, so it would almost become an inner double eyelid, and he also recommended a forehead lift, said ptosis correction would be good because there’s slight asymmetry, and said lower blepharoplasty/fat repositioning would be good tooㅋㅌㅋㅋㅋ Somehow, since it’s a clinic that does a lot of eye revision surgery, I felt like they would do a good job, but it was higher than the budget I had in mind, so if I do it here, I’m wondering whether I should skip ptosis correction and only do double-line excision and upper eyelid fat repositioning. I’m also worried that it’ll almost become an inner double eyelid, and I’m worried I’ll regret it again if I don’t do ptosis correctionㅠ Would it be better to live feeling a bit of sausage-eye and dissatisfaction.. or better to get revision surgery and end up with inner double eyelids? ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ...
