Day 5 after one-type facial contouring surgery for men: cheekbone surgery

This is a review I’m writing after 5 days have passed since surgery!!

Even before surgery, I wasn’t worried about swelling; I actually looked forward to it because I’d lived my whole life without really experiencing swelling!

Honestly, until about day 2, I struggled a bit because of toothache, so I got through it by taking one Tylenol every 4 hours. And just in case the molar toothache was because blood had collected in the sinuses, I leaned back against something, changed positions this way and that, and drained the blood toward the back of my nose. Very carefully, I sniffed in as if inhaling a runny nose, then swallowed or spat it out. Whenever I spat, most of it was blood..; Now it’s day 5, and even if I sniff in, the blood doesn’t come out as dark as before; it just comes out slightly mixed in.

The swelling was definitely worst on day 3, and from the evening of day 4, I could see it gradually going down. Today is day 5, and the swelling is clearly less than yesterday. I went to the hospital today and had the stitches by my ears removed, got lymphatic care, and had Healite laser treatment, and after getting the lymphatic care too, I could really feel the swelling going down. +I bought that drinkable swelling tea, I think it’s called Face Liner, and drank one bottle each on days 1, 2, and 3. It’s a bit pricey and some pharmacies don’t sell it, and since I only bought 3 bottles at first, I only drank 3 bottles. It seems to have some effect? I also bought Elas A solution and mixed it with Vita 500 to drink. This also seems to have some effect, but including the Vita 500, it costs 8,000 won each time I drink it..;;

What made me most anxious was that on the day of surgery, while yawning at home, there was a loud cracking sound, and after that, until the morning of day 3, I heard a sound like sand being chewed in front of my right ear, so I was really anxious. (After the morning of day 3, it didn’t really happen much again.) I had a CT scan today. They said the results will come out tomorrow, so I’m waiting. Right now, every time I bite down with my molars, there’s a small clicking sound.. I was told that this level of sound is a common symptom after surgery, so for now I’m thinking it should be okay. +I had no bruising at all, but on the evening of day 4, I noticed a small yellow bruise under my right eye.

And… I ate so well that I wondered if it was okay… (Until day 2, I only survived on porridge.) On the day of surgery, I ordered abalone porridge, but I couldn’t chew the abalone, so I threw almost all of it away ㅜ On day 1, I ordered seaweed oyster porridge, and I could chew things like oysters with my front teeth. On day 2, I comfortably chewed abalone porridge with my front teeth. They said ice cream was okay, so I don’t know what I was thinking, but on the day of surgery, after taking painkillers and feeling like I could tolerate it, I immediately opened an Encho and ate it, then spat out all the almonds and gave up…ㅋ;;; (I only melted and ate the vanilla part, then threw half away.) On day 3, I met a friend and ate mazesoba, fried dumplings.. and 4 pieces of karaage. Even then, I was only swollen to the point where people wouldn’t really notice if I wore a mask. No bruises. On day 4, I just ate a whole pizza. Today, day 5, I had a hearty bowl of pork bone hangover soup..

It’s very obvious, but I’m absolutely not drinking or smoking, I’m walking about an hour a day, and I’m avoiding pretty much all tough foods.

Sensation in my face is gradually coming back day by day, and now I can shower freely with waterproof bandages next to my ears, which is nice. After a few days passed, it quickly became livable.
