It has been 2 weeks since my eyes and nose surgery. First of all, I feel so comfortable now that the stitches are out. Until the stitches were removed, honestly, rather than pain, it was more that the wounds were healing, so they were itchy, and because I had tape on my nose and couldn’t wash my face, the oiliness... It was also extremely itchy, so I was scared I might rub it without realizing while sleeping. I had the stitches in my eyes and nose removed, then two days later I had the ear stitches removed. Since I live outside Seoul, going back and forth to Seoul was a bit tough.. I had read a lot of posts saying it hurts when removing the stitches from the epicanthoplasty area and inside the nose, so I went in trembling, but when they actually removed them, the epicanthoplasty area only stung a little at the very bottom. It did sting, but it was definitely tolerable. For the nose, honestly, the most painful part was when they cleaned here and there inside my nose... For the ear stitches too, the most painful part was when they cleaned my ear; the stitches themselves didn’t hurt.
When the stitches were removed, they also took off all the tape on my nose, so I could finally see my nose. My nose really turned out naturally well, and my family and friends all said my nose turned out well, and that my eyes definitely look bigger too. They said before they looked stuffy, but now they look more open and refreshed, which is nice. I was satisfied too. I didn’t have bruising on either my nose or eyes. However, one epicanthoplasty area keeps looking red, and should I say white flesh is rising up? I searched online and it says it settles and disappears over time, but I’m worried about scarring, and since a lot of the scabs have fallen off now, I’m going to try applying scar ointment.
For ptosis correction, there are times when I can feel like something is there. At first I felt it on the left eye side, but maybe because the swelling in my left eye went down faster than the right, now I don’t feel anything in my left eye. In my right eye, which is still a bit slower, I sometimes feel it, and when I close my eyes to sleep, I can feel something like it is moving. But I don’t have anything like stitches sticking out at all, as I saw online, and since that feeling disappeared in my left eye once the swelling went down to some extent, it seems like it will be resolved once the swelling goes down. I haven’t had headaches or a pulling sensation except during the first week after surgery when my eyes were extremely swollen.
Everything else aside, I’m just so happy that I can wash comfortably now. Now I just have to wait for the swelling to go down quicklyㅎㅎ
