Double-eyelid revision after 11 years: consultation and surgery at [Clinic A]

I had buried-suture double-eyelid surgery in Apgujeong 11 years ago. It was so long ago that I barely remember the clinic name; I looked roughly for it, but it seems to be gone? Lol.... My crease had loosened for a while, but as both sides loosened, the asymmetry became severe and my eyes looked droopy, so I began looking into revision eyelid surgery. I already knew that Director Do Eon-rok at Ilmiri was known for revision eyelid surgery, and several friends and coworkers had surgery there, so I put it on my list. When I made the appointment, I was told by phone to allow about two and a half hours at the clinic including consultation, but I actually left after about an hour and a half. Waiting really seems to vary by person.. It has been confirmed that the director does not come out in the middle of surgery, though.. lol. My assigned consultant had incredibly pretty eyes, and I was startled the moment I saw them (she had her eyes done there, but I could not ask which director did them T_T). Perhaps because many revision-eyelid patients come here, the consultation felt quite experienced. Other clinics only said my crease had loosened, but here they seemed to explain the issues with my current condition in more detail. I had marked the crease height I wanted on the chart beforehand, and on the day of surgery we checked the desired line once again. I had seen mixed opinions about the lead director's consultation, so I went in unnecessarily nervous, but it was better than I expected, lol. It is true that he does not use empty flattery; he immediately told me that setting exactly the height I wanted had a high chance of creating a sausage-like eyelid. When I said I wanted a semi-out crease, he said it would be possible to preserve the feeling I wanted while making it look thin, and suggested a compromise, lol. His manner is not excessively kind or warm, but he has a very realistic, blunt style; still, I felt he was trying to accommodate the direction I wanted. We also discussed ptosis correction. He said my eyes looked droopy because the crease had loosened, that my eyelid muscles themselves were not weak, and that I was not at the point of needing ptosis correction. He firmly told me not to undergo unnecessary surgery; even before going, I had heard many people say this was a place without pressure. I worried that since it was revision surgery, other places might add this and that, but that did not happen here. I chose Ilmiri because, unlike elsewhere, they did not add unnecessary procedures and their eye analysis was thorough. During the design on surgery day, I was very nervous because I am naturally sensitive about these details. The process of setting the crease was subtly difficult, but they praised me for opening my eyes well, lol. After surgery, I saw the crease and liked it more than I expected, so I simply accepted it. I also think I understand a little why there are not many extremely severe swelling reviews here. Of course it varies by person, but my early swelling was not as severe as I had expected. Maybe because the director concentrated intensely from the design stage?... (As long as you do not get too scared.) I had seen many comments that the cost was expensive, but after visiting clinics for revision eyelid surgery, it was not dramatically different from the places I researched. Compared with the old days' double-eyelid prices, plastic-surgery fees themselves seem to have risen a lot now, lol T_T. Everything rises except my salary T_T. When it was time to remove the stitches, I was also instructed to come fasting because they needed to check again whether the two crease lines matched. They seemed conscientious because they said they would immediately do a touch-up if the symmetry was off. Also, it seems they are very particular about crease lines, so I thought that was better than checking casually and finishing..! Fortunately, both crease lines matched, so I was told no further correction was needed. It has been about a year now, and I have not had any major discomfort so far. The crowds and waiting were definitely somewhat difficult, but because I like the crease itself, I understand why many people have revision eyelid surgery here. Personally, rather than someone expecting an exceptionally friendly consultation, I think it is worth consulting once for someone looking for a place that will assess their desired crease and current eye condition objectively.
