After seeing my friend get canthoplasty here while having revision eye surgery, I immediately got a consultation and scheduled the surgery date.
My eyes tend to look sharp, but personally, I wasn't aiming for gentle, puppy-like eyes, so I told them I wanted my eyes to look more open than now, that a dramatic effect wasn't necessary, and absolutely no scarring! Not excessive! That was what I asked for.
The surgery was done under sedation anesthesia, so I fell asleep and when I woke up it was over. I think I received an IV for about 30-40 minutes and was discharged.
Right after surgery, my eyes stung slightly like after LASIK, so it was a little hard to open them, but this got better from the moment I left the clinic, so I just took public transportation home.
My friend said she had a lot of pain after surgery, but my pain was fine, and after eating dinner and taking the medicine, I didn't have any major discomfort.
The swelling got worse and worse until day 3, then started going down from day 4, and after one week, after the stitches were removed, I could go about daily life without wearing a hat.
It's exactly one month since the surgery now, and I'm so satisfied because it turned out naturally, just as I wanted, without being excessive!!
