Before <before surgery> Before <before surgery> Before <immediately after surgery> Before <after surgery> Hello~ I heard through word of mouth about a plastic surgery clinic known for celebrities, so I went there and had surgery at The Care Plastic Surgery Clinic with the goal of correcting asymmetry (+ making my eyes bigger): double eyelid surgery (revision surgery to reset the line on only my left eye), upper epicanthoplasty (revision surgery on only my left eye), and lateral canthoplasty. I also didn’t have much information before going there, so I was unsure, but I’m leaving this review for others to refer to. When you first go for a consultation, since it’s a clinic run by one doctor, there aren’t many staff members, and because the consultation is very straightforward without any pretense, some people may feel it’s too direct. But because of that, his words felt sincere and unembellished, and I actually trusted him more, so I decided to have the surgery. During the consultation, I asked him to open the outer corners a lot, but he limited it by saying that if too much is opened at once, it can leave a large scar, and that there is a maximum length. I can’t say the real name, but I also clearly confirmed that a famous celebrity had received the exact same surgery as me, and that also played a part in my decision. (I can’t say more in detail, but if you go in person, you’ll know.) As he said, the director personally handled everything from consultation to surgery, disinfection, and suture removal, which I also liked.
Not long after the surgery, I was worried because it seemed like the surgical result hadn’t come out properly, but as time passed, it came out exactly the way the director and I had initially planned (designed?!). The upper epicanthoplasty was especially fascinating. I had also received upper epicanthoplasty elsewhere before, and they had needed to cut the inner corner a little. But here, when I said I didn’t want the inner corner cut, there was no cutting of the inner corner (my eyes are close-set, so I didn’t want the space between them to become narrower, and I liked that). When the stitches were first removed, it looked the same, but as time passed, the effect of the upper epicanthoplasty became really clear..! For the lateral canthoplasty, he said he uses his own signature method, and there is no ㄷ-shaped deformity, it didn’t reattach, and my eyes definitely became longer toward the outer corners. Most of all, I’m satisfied because it seems the asymmetry improved the way I wanted!
My wounds don’t heal quickly and my skin type tends to scar strongly, so I did get more scarring than others who had the procedure (other people told me it wasn’t noticeable on me.. haha, but I can still see it with my own eyes..) Now that 3 months have passed, it has improved a lot~ When I went for a progress check 1 month after surgery and mentioned the scarring, he told me his scar-care know-how, and said that if I was still worried, after 6 months (apparently, if you want to redo anything, you have to wait at least 6 months) he would operate again and manage it for me. Hearing that made me feel relieved! Though now I don’t think I’ll really need it haha
