I had revision rhinoplasty with autologous costal cartilage

The previous silicone was larger than the silicone used in the revision, so as the revision silicone shifted, inflammation developed. I decided to have surgery again, and they said they would take what’s lacking at the nasal tip from ear cartilage. Is that right? I had it done with autologous costal cartilage, so does it make sense to take the lacking part from ear cartilage? Shouldn’t they take out autologous costal cartilage again?
