I had consultations at four places before surgery. Wonjin was my last consultation, and during the consultation, the doctor felt trustworthy. Somehow... it seemed like he wouldn’t force anything, but would do his best for my situation. And he said, “Because your face is very asymmetrical, the nasal bridge will inevitably have to be a bit crooked. That is what will suit your face. I’m telling you in advance.” I had never heard that kind of thing at any of the four places before. The doctor is a bit blunt.
I’m now two days away from 3 weeks post-op. So far, I’m satisfied with the shape. The nasal tip is longer and more upturned than I expected, but I guess I’ll know for sure after more swelling goes down? The shape changes every day.. Apart from satisfaction, it’s kind of fun looking in the mirror?ㅎ And in photos, the nose looks very different depending on the angle.
If I just don’t get any side effects from here on, I think I’ll be completely satisfied. If I look closely now, I can feel the silicone in the nasal bridge a little.. And the nasal tip is still a bit red, so it’s scary. hahahaha
After a little more time, I want to write a post saying I’m satisfied and that there were no side effects.
Oh, and because of actual-expense insurance, I was hospitalized for one day. The hospital room wasn’t great... They said it was central heating, but it was cold at night. They told me to turn on an individual heater if I was cold.. But I turned it off after one minute. You know, right? After surgery, you breathe through your mouth, so the inside of your mouth gets insanely dry..... How can you endure heater air.... Still, the nurses were kind.
As for post-op care, I’m not sure. Since the hospital is big, it felt like the division of labor was very well organized? After surgery, I went to the hospital on day 2, at one week, and at two weeks. Now they said I just need to go on the day for my one-month post-op visit.
I’m curious how my nose will look different tomorrow.
