I had been worried for a very long time about my square jaw and asymmetry of my chin tip, which had been longstanding complexes of mine, and finally decided to have surgery. <Day of surgery ~ Day 10>
They said the surgery went well and there was not much bleeding. I was having a hard time because the anesthesia had not fully worn off and I had severe throat pain from intubation, but the director, manager, and nurses were all so kind and explained everything in detail, which was comforting. Since the clinic had not been open for long, the facilities were very nice and clean. It was also nice that there was a StandbyME in the recovery room. It was hard to endure on an empty stomach after fasting from the day before, but drinking an ion beverage made it much more bearable. I think the swelling was worst on days 2-3 rather than on the day of surgery. Still, my recovery was fast, so I had the stitches removed early, around day 10. After the stitches were removed, it definitely felt like the swelling went down more. I don’t think I was the type whose swelling dramatically disappears, but when I wore the compression band and went for walks, the swelling seemed to go down pretty well. I also rented a high-frequency device and used it almost every day, and it helped a lot with scar tissue and swelling.
<3 months after surgery>
These days, even when I wake up, there is no swelling, and I only have ordinary swelling that goes down after walking a little and going about daily life. My face shape has softened a lot, so the best part is that I no longer have to feel stressed about that complex when taking photos. During the consultation and on the day of surgery, I said that rather than a very flashy and sharp look, I wanted a natural, soft jawline with the angle under the ears still preserved, and he contoured it exactly the way I wanted, without losing the feel of my original jawline. I understood why other people call him Father Kwon in their reviews.
