Reason for surgery> I kept thinking about it for several years, then made up my mind and decided to get double eyelid surgery. My eyes weren’t originally small, and I had large eyes with inner double eyelids, so I didn’t really feel the need for double eyelids, but since I like eyes with double eyelids, after a long time thinking it over, I decided to have surgery.
Reason I chose this hospital> Since it’s famous, it was mentioned in many places, and people around me also recommended it, so I went for a consultation. Before meeting the director, I first met the manager. The manager explained everything in order without anything confusing, and also pointed out only the parts I was curious about regarding the cost first, so things could proceed quickly, and she was kind.
I looked at reviews of the director, and it seemed like they would do it naturally. Since this was my first surgery, I was scared, but there were many reviews saying they gave kind, thorough consultations, so I had my consultation with this director. Next, I met the director. I had previously gone around to consultations at other places too, but they drew the line really large in a way that felt too unnatural and said it was pretty, which made me go huh(?), and the cost was higher than expected, so I hadn’t gone for consultations again for a while. But this director said buried sutures were possible too (the previous hospital didn’t even mention buried sutures even though I don’t have much fat on my eyelids, and just talked about incision as if it were obvious ㅠ ㅠ), and they drew the line without making it excessive! And when I showed photos, even before I brought it up first, they mentioned the epicanthoplasty and upper epicanthoplasty that I wanted most, so it made me really want to do it.
In conclusion, the biggest thing I felt during the consultation was that they seemed like they would make it suit me well, so I ultimately chose them.
Uncomfortable points> There wasn’t anything particularly uncomfortable during the consultation or surgery, but after surgery, when I went into the recovery room, it was a little cold ㅠ I do get cold easily, but the person lying next to me also seemed cold, so I wrote it down.
Uncomfortable points after surgery> - I don’t know if sleep anesthesia didn’t suit me, but I vomited a little on the day of surgery, and for 2 days I felt a bit nauseous, maybe because of the antibiotics ㅠ - My eyes don’t close completely, so I have a bit of eye stinging, but they said these symptoms can happen somewhat in the early period, so I think maybe it’ll get better once the swelling goes down.
What I’m looking forward to> Right now, because of the swelling, I don’t know how it will turn out, so I’m a little scared. But when I said I hoped the line would still be visible even after all the swelling goes down, it seems they made the height the way I wanted, and they repeatedly said they would make the line similar to the photo I showed during consultation and suit it well to my eyes, so I’m looking forward to it!
