I had fat repositioning 3 days ago and currently have DuoDERM on. There is some swelling, but not much..
After the surgery, I looked it up and saw people saying that when they say they are doing fat repositioning, you should carefully check whether they are actually removing fat... so there’s something that feels uneasy to me!!
My under-eye fat was bulging out.. so I went to consultations at 3 places for surgery, and at the place where I had the surgery, they said my anterior cheek was sunken (my cheekbones are weak, so my face looks hollow) and recommended fat grafting.. but I needed to recover quickly, so I said I would just do fat repositioning. (The other 2 places said I didn’t need fat grafting.) On the day of surgery, I did it together with double-eyelid surgery, and after checking the double-eyelid line, they asked, “For the under-eye fat, it’s enough if only the bulging part disappears, right?” so I said yes and moved on. During the surgery... I felt like the area under my eyes was being pulled, heard a spray-like chiiik~~ sound... and there was something like a burning-flesh smell..?? That wasn’t the sound of them burning fat, right???;;; Like, removing fat....?
I hope they repositioned the under-eye fat, but I’m worried they might have only removed the fat.. Of course, once I take off the DuoDERM and the swelling goes down, I’ll see the result, but I’m asking just in case!!
What kind of sensation did everyone feel during surgery??
