Review of scouting ㅌㅋ
My eyes: the space between my eyes and eyebrows is narrow, I have more flesh than fat on my eyelids, my eye-opening strength is good, the horizontal length is short, and they’re neither deep-set nor protruding, just kind of in the middle.
- I had to wait forever for the elevator. There’s a 5th floor and a 9th floor, and for reference you have to go to the 9th floor. Nobody told me that, so I got off at the 5th floor and realized that the 5th floor was dermatology, then tried to go to the 9th floor, but the elevator wait was ridiculous; I went to the emergency stairs but the door was locked, and from there I was already swearing and everything got messed up..
- The wait was insane and there were so many people.. Adding in the fact that I was told to arrive 10 minutes before my appointment, I waited 1 hour and 20 minutes before meeting the doctor. The consultation with the doctor seemed to take about 3 to 5 minutes..

- The manager was kind and helped set the line.
- Doctor’s recommendation: non-incisional + forehead lift / incisional + upper bleph. Since my eyes have more flesh than fat, not fat, they said a forehead lift would make the eyelids less puffy even after double eyelid surgery. They set the line high, but said because of the flesh, a line that gets covered wouldn’t look pretty, so they made it thin. I liked that they did the consultation and line setting without me taking off my mask.
- The doctor and the front desk both seemed busy.
I’d never heard of a forehead lift before, and suddenly I lost the urge to get double eyelid surgery. The more clinics and surgeons I check out, the more confused I getㅠㅠ.. And my eyes are not the kind that will become pretty just from double eyelid surgery; it feels more like improving function than anything else..? They said even after surgery I’d still have that thick flesh-like feeling, which makes me even sadder.. It’s just a feature of my eyes, so there’s nothing I can do, but I’ll probably need to get a thin line and have surgery so the eyes that feel covered and stuffy at least show the black part of the eye properly..ㅠㅠ
I wanted to stop overthinking, so I put down a deposit at one of the places I visited.. Still, I thought having something clearer would be better...ㅠ But if I change my mind again, I guess I’ll have to cancel the deposit..ㅋㄱㅋㄱㄱ
