Before <before revision> After <after revision (it has gone down more now)> Before <before> After <after> I had my first double eyelid surgery 7 years ago, and after being stressed about it all this time, I finally had revision surgery. It had always been such a complex for me, but after getting it done, I felt like a long-standing weight had been lifted.
I wondered if I had really even gotten double eyelids... the line was bumpy, and my eyes were uneven too... Even thinking about it now, I really resent the hospital where I first had it done ㅜ
I wanted to resolve this stress as soon as possible, so I had eye revision surgery. The director proceeded with incisional ptosis correction as the surgical method.
To get the revision, I searched hard for hospitals through people around me and also looked into reviews. I heard this place’s director was famous for revision surgery, so I went for a consultation. When he said he had done many cases like mine and that it was not that difficult, so I shouldn’t worry, I decided I should do it here. (I requested a line that was a little rounder than my first double eyelid line and just slightly more glamorous.) Since I am on the older side, I was worried I might need upper blepharoplasty, but he said that was not necessary and that it could be sufficiently improved with ptosis correction alone.
Afterward, the first week after eye revision surgery was a bit tough. I remember feeling uncomfortable in the morning when I tried to open my eyes because of a slight throbbing pain... There was bruising and swelling, of course, and I think I tossed and turned for a week because I was afraid I might touch my eyes while sleeping. (When I had my first double eyelid surgery, I just sprawled out and slept, but I heard swelling goes down faster if you sleep sitting up, so I slept with cushions supporting my back. Honestly, sleeping was the most uncomfortable part.) Still, after one week, once the hospital removed the stitches, the swelling went down really well, and I think the line settled very neatly. But since I need to see the line after the swelling goes down, I plan to keep watching it for a while.
People around me keep telling me it turned out so well, so I’m really relieved and proud, and I’m so grateful to the director... very grateful.
After revision surgery, I thought I would pay a little more attention to eye makeup, but because of this darn laziness, I’m just going around as usual^^.
