My first eye surgery left me with sausage-like double eyelids, so I had a second revision surgery. After that, the scar tissue at the inner corners was really severe, the outer line of my eyes became two lines, and the thick eyelid thickness never ended up going back down. So I ended up having a third revision surgery at the same clinic where I had my second revision, with the goal of improvement and correction. During the surgery, because the scar tissue at the inner corners was severe, I also had an upper epicanthoplasty done. After the surgery, this time they prescribed me a medication called Rizaben, which helps with muscle tightness and prevention of scar tissue. They told me to take it for one month.
I’m taking it now, and I haven’t even had my stitches removed yet, but I already feel like I can see the scar tissue slowly starting to come up. If it turns out to be fine once the stitches are removed, that would be a relief, but... scar tissue is usually worst around months 1-2, you know. During my second surgery too, once a month passed, it started rising like crazy ㅜㅜ It was so thick. Because of the scar tissue, I had to travel from the provinces to Seoul once a month for several months to get injections.
I don’t doubt the clinic director’s skill. They are skilled. But they said it would be okay after a few injections, and in the end I had to get revision surgery.
I’m so upset right now because of the scar tissue..
Has anyone taken Rizaben while having revision surgery because of scar tissue and seen an effect? I’m so desperate, please let me know in the comments ㅠㅠ
