Before<surgery before>After<after surgery>After<after surgery>After<after surgery>After<false information KakaoTalk image> I have been experiencing functional problems since the surgery. This is a review of the surgical complications, the hospital's inadequate and absurd response, and the false information. (Before/after photos and KakaoTalk messages are attached as images.)
▶▶▶▶ Lower eyelid repositioning + dark nano fat graft + front cheek grafting performed
<Symptoms>
1. No sensation on half of the face. (nerve damage.) No sensation in the upper lip, cheek, cheekbone, or half of the nose.
I think the words tingling and numbness fit well. Also, it is hard to make various facial expressions naturally.
My face keeps feeling itchy, and I cannot tell whether something has dripped from my nose or whether something is stuck on it. - The sensory symptoms are really varied (it itches, then when I touch my cheekbone I can feel the nerve in my lip...)
2. After surgery, one lower eyelid is fixed and does not move up. (feels like the lower eyelid is fixed, tightness) (When I smile, one side stays fixed lower and does not rise naturally)
3. No dark-circle effect. (I requested before-and-after photos, but could not see them. They said the photos are discarded once the surgery is completed.)
▶▶▶▶▶ Hospital response and aftercare
It is really hard to get a follow-up appointment with the director at this hospital. (I had to contact them by KakaoTalk or phone many times)
If there had been no abnormality on my face, there would have been no reason to contact them except for swelling management.
It took about 9-10 months to get a follow-up.
There were parts I could not understand after the follow-up, so I said I wanted another follow-up with my guardian present, but they refused, saying it would violate the Medical Service Act.
They cited Article 21 of the Medical Service Act (records, inspection) and would not arrange a follow-up with my guardian.
★ (Confirmed by a lawyer - absolutely not true. This is false information.)
When I asked them to give the same explanation to my guardian, saying it was a violation of the Medical Service Act, they said they had no obligation to speak with the guardian.
There is a long story after this, but I will leave it out.
※ Once something is already ruined, it can never be reversed. The hospital also cannot take responsibility.
As posts get temporarily removed, reviews about complications are in fact hard for consumers to see, so it is difficult to make the right choice. Most posts on all kinds of apps and communities are only successful cases, so those who always get cosmetic surgery should look into everything and think carefully a hundred times and be cautious.
※ This post was written based on the `consumer rights` guaranteed by our Constitution and the Framework Act on Consumers, and I would like to state that it has no purpose of slandering the medical institution in question beyond sharing information and helping other patients.
