About 3 years ago, I got folliculitis after removing hair from my legs with a disposable razor that had been left in the bathroom ㅜ I couldn’t resist the itching and scratched it, which caused pigmentation. Not knowing any better, I went to a factory-style dermatology clinic, and they said I needed laser treatment. The pigmentation was only on my left leg, and during the procedure I had both legs up. The doctor saw a bruise on my right leg, thought it was pigmentation from folliculitis, and did laser treatment there too. I didn’t even have time to stop them ㅜㅜ After that, my right leg became inflamed, the itchy area kept getting bigger, and at the same time the pigmentation became severe. Then they said toning wouldn’t remove it, and recommended a tattoo-removal laser treatment, saying they needed to break up the pigment inside the skin. That thing really hurts ㅜㅠ It feels like being stabbed with an awl. But after that treatment, the condition got even worse. And yet the doctor did not recommend stopping. In the end, I asked to stop the treatment myself. I spent about a year recovering, unable to wear skirts or shorts ㅜㅜ and the itching got even worse... Then I went to a local dermatology clinic. It was a very old hospital that also had a urology department. When I went there, they gave me one ointment and said it would get better if I applied it and just moisturized, and that there was no need for laser at all.... Ah,,,, I should have gone to a place like this from the start ㅜㅠㅠ After applying the ointment, the itching decreased and the pigmentation is gradually fading. I don’t know how many years it will take ㅜㅜ but now it’s much lighter than before, so I put makeup on my legs and wear skirts! In midsummer, I cover it with skin-colored bandages ㅜㅜ because I’m afraid of sunlight hitting it... Everyone, you really need to look into laser treatments carefully before getting them. These days there are so many procedure-focused dermatology clinics, so it’s really hard to find a traditional dermatology clinic ㅜㅜ ㅜ
