My asymmetrical eyes have become more pronounced recently, so I set aside a day and had consultations at three places.
[Clinic A] I consulted in the order of coordinator–doctor–coordinator. As soon as the doctor entered the consultation room and saw my face, the doctor confidently said I had ptosis, needed an incision, and needed ptosis correction. When I said I had upper-eyelid fullness and wanted it removed, the doctor said that would be fine too and that they remove it conservatively rather than excessively. When I asked about recurrence of ptosis, the doctor said it was almost nonexistent, and said the size of both eyes could be matched by 80–90%. I had gone there with [Clinic A] in mind from the beginning, so I only paid the reservation deposit.
[Clinic B] I immediately consulted with the doctor, then the coordinator, who is the doctor's wife. They said that asymmetry could be corrected with an incision, fat repositioning, and lowering the crease; if I wanted a closer match, ptosis correction could be added. The doctor adjusted my eyelid crease many times while explaining in detail. During the coordinator consultation, I was told the doctor performs very well with no visible scarring. The price was the lowest.
[Clinic C] I consulted in the order of coordinator–doctor–coordinator. I arrived a little early for my appointment, so I waited a bit because the doctor was operating. They took facial photos as soon as I arrived and conducted the consultation while looking at them. The doctor also mentioned measurements such as MRD1 and said I had ptosis. Eye length and spacing measurements were all shown on a computer, so it felt more precise. The doctor also set the crease and, when I mentioned that upper-eyelid fullness was my concern, said that orbital fat could be removed while setting the crease. Since that was exactly my concern, I felt relieved. The price was the highest, but it fit my schedule best.
None of the three gave me a strange impression, and each has advantages I like, so I am really deliberating. If the doctors are at least well known in Gangnam, their skills should all be good, so should I just choose a place that fits my schedule? Or is there something else I should consider?
