Clinic review

Fat that had been grafted under my eyes one to two years ago moved to the area above my nasolabial fold and clumped into something like a tumor mass. Oddly, grafting was done on both sides, but only the right side clumped, so I made a consultation appointment with the doctor. Everything was fine on my first visit, except for some waiting; when I went, I waited about an hour. After waiting an hour, I consulted with the manager. The manager seemed somewhat forceful, but was not rude. I said the left side was fine, but above the right nasolabial fold there was a lump that felt like a tumor when touched, and I thought the fat graft had clumped. After looking, the manager honestly said there did not seem to be much difference, but they could do it if I wanted, and discussed scheduling. Afterward I immediately saw the doctor. When I said I wanted to remove the right side, the response was the same: they did not see much difference and wondered whether it was necessary. They said they could do it if I wanted, but not to expect much. They said the procedure would use Accu and enter through the cheekbone area. They said a scar might remain about the size of a pen-tip dot, or might not remain; if it did, it could be removed with laser. I said that was fine and asked to proceed. We set a date and had the procedure. At first I could not really tell, but after about two months it seemed somewhat reduced compared with before. Others ask what difference there is, but I am satisfied in my own way. The scar did not remain because I applied the bandages provided by the clinic and ointment diligently.
