It has been well over a month since my facelift, and I am now approaching two months haha. As time passes, I can feel my overall facial contour becoming so natural, so I wanted to share~ I had a facelift, neck lift, double-chin muscle tightening, and deep cheek fat removal all at once. Most of the major swelling has gone down, but swelling around the jaw tends to subside a little later than in other areas, so I am waiting patiently. There is now almost no distinct throbbing pain when I press on the areas. There are still parts that feel slightly firm because they have not fully softened yet. The surgeon explained that this is a normal recovery process in which postoperative scar tissue forms and then softens. And when I actually feel them, I can tell that the areas that were firm are gradually becoming softer. Sensation around my ears and cheeks is also gradually returning. The surgeon is very skillful, and explains everything carefully at every follow-up, so I am focusing only on recovery without anxiety~ I had been extremely stressed about my sagging facial contour and neck wrinkles, but these days everyone I meet compliments me, saying my face looks good and asking why I look so much younger, so I am happy every day 👍 For anyone deliberating over a facelift or double-chin muscle tightening, do not be too impatient about the early swelling or scar-tissue process. If you manage your recovery according to your surgeon’s follow-up instructions, you will get good results.
