Eye Surgery Reviews

I had surgery to lower a thick double-eyelid crease

When I looked for reviews of men's eye surgery, most cases seemed to be people with no double eyelids creating a subtle inner double eyelid. In contrast, I looked into surgery because my existing double eyelids were too thick! When I opened my eyes, the crease was very visible, so only my eyes looked unusually intense on my face. I also disliked how, on days when I was not feeling well, my double eyelids became thicker and looked slightly overwhelming. That said, I did not want to make them completely like single eyelids. I simply wanted a subtle inner-double-eyelid look, with the double eyelids not too visible. Since I am a man, looking as natural as possible was the priority, and I wanted to avoid a crease that would clearly look like I had eye surgery. I explained this during my consultation at Motive Clinic. Rather than simply eliminating my existing double-eyelid shape, they explained that they would reduce the overall thickness and refine it to suit my eye shape. The creases they designed were also close to what I wanted, so I decided to proceed with surgery. Even on the day of surgery, the swelling was not severe and it looked very natural. It has now been a little over a month, and the thick look that bothered me is gone. Since the double eyelids do not look excessive when I open my eyes, it is much more natural. Previously, my eyes seemed a little overly suggestive and intense; now the crease itself is thinner, so they look a bit cleaner? I think for men deliberating because they have thick existing double eyelids, adjusting the thickness to suit their own eyes can be a good option rather than removing them completely.
