I went for a consultation about a hump nose! I had not even decided on rhinoplasty yet and went in simply thinking I would start with a consultation, but they explained things in more detail than expected and the results seem likely to be good, so I am leaning somewhat toward surgery, lol. They explained why my nose currently looks humped: the bone on the nasal dorsum protrudes slightly, while the nasal tip is relatively low, making the hump-nose appearance more pronounced. They said that rather than simply shaving down the protruding area, the nasal tip and entire line also need to be considered together for a natural result. When I said I did not want it to become too high, they said they would not raise it excessively and would of course reflect my preferences, which made me look forward to it. They also showed photos of how the line could change after surgery, and all the results looked good, so I was tempted. I liked that the consultation atmosphere was not pressuring and there was no coercion, so I could listen comfortably and leave.
