Cheekbone Surgery Reviews

Escaping a square face with mandibular-angle + chin contouring

I had two facial-contouring procedures with [Doctor A] at [Clinic A]. I naturally thought I would need cheekbone surgery too, but they said there was no need to touch my cheekbones, so I only had mandibular-angle reduction + chin cortical osteotomy. At first, because of swelling, I could not tell at all whether my face had become smaller... I kept looking in the mirror several times a day and wondering whether this was right, but I guess with facial contouring you have to wait for the swelling to go down. Now I can see that the width of my lower face itself has decreased. The line from the angular area beside the jaw to the chin is smoother than before, and from the front my face definitely looks less wide. This was what I wanted. And I was a little surprised when I looked at preoperative photos again recently. In photos my friend took casually, my face was literally square.... At the time, I even tried Botox to make my face look smaller, but my bone structure was angular to begin with, so I did not notice much difference. Now when I look at photos taken by other people in the same way, I no longer check my jaw first like I used to. With selfies, I could somehow find an angle and edit them, but photos taken by others could not hide it, so this difference feels even bigger. Since it was bone surgery, I deliberated for a long time before deciding, and during the early swelling stage I had every kind of thought, but seeing my facial shape settle now, I wonder if I worried for nothing... Anyway, I think it was also a good choice not to be greedy for cheekbone surgery and to do only the mandibular angle + chin procedures I needed. Whenever I look at old photos now, I immediately understand why I was so stressed about my face shape.
