Eye Surgery Reviews

Finally escaped incision sausage eyelids and hereditary under-eye fat sagging T_T

I had incisional double-eyelid surgery 10 years ago, but the crease was set too high, leaving me with a typical sausage-eyelid case… Then the under-eye skin sagging that runs in my family gradually started appearing too, making me look much older and driving my stress to the limit every time I looked in the mirror.

At first, I started desperately searching for a place good at under-eye fat surgery, thinking I should at least clean up the under-eye area. But then I thought, since I would be lying on the operating table and under anesthesia anyway, it would be better to get rid of my lifelong wish of revising my sausage eyelids at the same time, lol.

So I booked a consultation with Dr. Jeon Seung-bae, who was frequently mentioned for eye revision surgery and had highly rated reviews in other communities and this community. The way he designed the crease and explained my eye structure during the consultation was so professional that I felt confident and booked surgery right away!

But… after surgery, I was unbelievably swollen—far beyond any other reviews I had seen, T_T. I personally experienced just how far a person’s eyes can swell and become taut, lol. That does not mean I had a huge number of elaborate procedures, though. I only removed the sausage-like appearance, lowered the crease to a very thin in-out crease, and had ptosis correction and under-eye fat surgery.

For the first few days after surgery, opening my eyes felt dry and difficult, and closing them felt tight and difficult too. I even felt heat inside my eyes and thought I would go crazy, T_T. So I lived with ice packs and worked unbelievably hard to reduce the swelling. I completely eliminated salty, spicy, and irritating foods; I constantly drank pumpkin juice, put on a cap low over my face every night, and walked for an hour every day no matter what, T_T. It was a series of tearful efforts...

Finally, on the seventh day, I went to the clinic to have the stitches removed and receive swelling-laser care, and only then did opening my eyes become noticeably easier.

During follow-ups and aftercare, Dr. Jeon Seung-bae, who performed my surgery, personally checked every detail. Since it was revision surgery, I would naturally be much more sensitive to swelling, but he kindly reassured me that the surgery itself had gone very cleanly and told me not to worry and to come often for swelling care. That completely eased my anxiety. (The doctor personally handling aftercare makes a huge difference!)

After that, I continued focusing all my attention on reducing swelling, lol. I always ate a light dinner, then when I thought the swelling had gone down a little, I had just one drink. The next morning, my eyes were completely puffy, which really scared me, so I quit alcohol entirely after that... Thanks to that, I unexpectedly even lost 2 kg over two months, lol. It was absurd, T_T.

Also, the under-eye area I was most worried about—the part that used to sag and wrinkle even in bare-faced standard-camera photos—is now neatly smoothed out...!!

And honestly, I was very worried because there are many reviews of side effects saying that if under-eye fat surgery goes wrong, the aegyo-sal gets buried or expressions look unnatural when smiling. But perhaps because I had it done at an eye-specialist clinic, I have none of those side effects at all, and it came out naturally like my original aegyo-sal, so I am extremely satisfied.
