I am an extremely anxious person with lots of worries, so I visited several liposuction clinics for over a month and a half. On some days, I went to more than four places, but this clinic’s consultation gave me the greatest confidence, so I decided to have surgery!
First, I know a great deal about liposuction lol. I studied every day for a month and a half and learned exactly how each place does it, but some clinics said ridiculous things... One said they would give me a discount if I lost more weight first; another said they would proceed if I came back at a weight I could maintain; others said they would definitely make my arms look like bones...
Here, however, they gave an accurate explanation. Rather than promising skeletal-looking arms, they realistically explained that because my muscle shape is like this, removing fat here in this way would create this kind of contour. Honestly, I hesitated a little over the cost... It was absurd, but I casually tested the manager by asking whether they offered a discount if I lost weight first lol. They immediately said, “That makes no sense. If you are getting liposuction, how could you be thinking of losing weight first?” The way they firmly said that touched my heart lol. I should not have tested them like that, but I had received so many strange consultations that it gave me enormous trust!
The consultation was good, but above all, the doctor was the greatest. Before the ultrasound, the doctor told me approximately how much fat I had. Because I am anxious, I asked to see it and confirm it with my own eyes, and wow... it matched exactly what the doctor had said. That was when I decided I absolutely had to do it here and booked right away.
On the day of surgery, I took a half-day off work. I had heard that the first day was the most painful, so I even took annual leave the next day and went in determined. I read in other reviews that there is no wait if you are in the first time slot, so I chose the first slot. When it came to the design, though, T_T I was so touched. They confidently brought up revision first and told me to come in immediately if anything was abnormal lol. I thought they could speak honestly like that first because they were confident in the surgery.
Even though I am not especially heavy, they said a total of 1,900 cc was removed. Wow. Arm and axilla: 1,800 cc; subscapular area: 100 cc. T_T Honestly, I did not expect that much to come out just for contouring, but 1,900 cc.... lol
The surgery ended in an hour and a half! After the anesthesia fully wore off, I made it home safely. The moment I looked in the mirror on the first day, I was shocked, saying, “Wow, what are these shoulders? Am I Jennie or what??” The next day was even more incredible... Even with swelling, the result was so good that I thought, “How can such a bony contour be possible?” Of course it hurt, but the visible contour was so amazing that I could endure all the pain lol.
As each day passed, I could feel, “Oh, the pain is already decreasing this much?” I cannot compare it because I have not done it at another clinic, but perhaps because the doctor uses a distinctive liposuction technique, bruising, swelling, and pain seem noticeably less!
My younger sibling is now preparing to have surgery here too. I am so sincerely satisfied that I wrote this long post haha. I hope people like me, who have many worries and anxiety, will go for at least one consultation! The doctor was very confident, saying there is no one like him with experience operating on such a range of people, from slim body types to those with more weight; the staff also seemed proud because of that, so it was a perfect fit for an anxious person like me haha.
I wrote so much, but anyway, I am so happy now! Also, I returned to work from day three. If you have an office job, I do not think you need to worry! If you need to use your arms a lot, you can wear compression garments, but I only wanted to wear mine at night while sleeping, so I did not wear them during the day. I think everyone will be fine as long as they avoid the hellish rush-hour subway.
