The director recommended the partial-incision method and said its recovery period was similar to the buried-suture method, so I had surgery that day. However, severe bruising in only one eye remained unchanged for two weeks (stalled recovery). The consultant in charge said bruising could still be present until the one-month mark and took no other action. Since it seemed likely to disrupt my personal schedule, I paid out of pocket for bruise-laser treatment and then recovery began. I received two laser sessions, but had still not fully recovered after one month. I currently have hyperpigmentation near the outer corner of my eye. The director apologized immediately but said financial support would be difficult.
