Nose Re-Surgery

Depressed 2 months after rhinoplasty

I had a slightly bulbous nose and it was already on the high side, but my nostrils flaring when I smiled had been a subtle source of stress throughout my life. I was truly swept up in the moment and thought, “Whatever, everyone does it, let’s be brave.” I went to only one clinic and immediately booked the surgery. I said I did not want a higher nose bridge and only wanted my nostrils reduced slightly, but they said reduction alone would not make the nose shape pretty and that I should raise it just a little with ear cartilage. I said I did not want my nose to stand out and preferred a petite nose. They said they would raise it only a tiny bit... Ah, I should have reconsidered the surgery then. I truly regret it so deeply. T_T Recovery from rhinoplasty is so slow, and it still hurts even when brushed against. Most of all, because the nose was raised, it stands out more and looks far too obviously operated on. I cannot meet people, and my once-cute impression now makes people see only my nose. What on earth have I done? I realized my preoperative nose was pretty to me. My nostrils do seem slightly smaller, but because they raised the nasal tip, I am considering having the ear cartilage removed. The doctor said people are not satisfied when only the nostrils are reduced... Sigh... My nose was already high. The doctor could not even control their emotions, saying things like it was because my skin was thick, and the consultation was practically a loud argument. They angrily said it could be removed immediately. It has been two months and it is still hard and painful, but I heard that removal now is too early. I left after deciding to watch it for another month or two and wait for the swelling to go down... They told me to come back in a month for a swelling-reduction injection, but I want the removal done quickly. Is three months after surgery too early? I hate the thought of more swelling and scar tissue after removal too. When will I be able to look in the mirror and smile? T_T
