First surgery in February 2022 → crease came undone → revision service in August 2022. For my first surgery, I emphasized that I wanted a natural look, but it ended up looking almost as if I had not had surgery—an in-line, very subtle double eyelid. Then the double-eyelid crease came undone. So for the revision, I asked them to make it higher and create a definite crease, but it again became a slightly thick double eyelid, and I am currently looking into another revision. (My preferred look is innocent and natural.) They are not disastrously botched eyes. When I ask people around me, they say they only think, “Oh, the double-eyelid crease is just a little thick—rather glamorous.” Friends who are less observant seem to genuinely have no thoughts about it. My original eyes were very small, typical Asian eyes with epicanthal folds, so they are still much better than before surgery, and I think they are passable. I do not regret it exactly, but it is not as though my double-eyelid surgery turned out amazingly either… Communication seems important.
