Eye Surgery Considerations

Young community review

I understood why there were nothing but complaints and why the ratings were poor. During the consultation, they made everything sound so good and said there would be no swelling or bruising... But when I was given postoperative precautions, the nurse told me that swelling peaks on days 3–5 and then decreases, while residual swelling resolves differently for each person. I did bruise, but they say it was less than at other clinics (I have not had it done elsewhere, so I do not think I should comment on that because I cannot compare). There is quite a bit of swelling—enough to be uncomfortable. I was persuaded into having the surgery because they said they could prevent something that naturally occurs with liposuction... but there is swelling and bruising. Do not pay just because you are persuaded by claims of no bruising or swelling like I was; deliberate a little more. The doctor is extremely unfriendly and seems defensive, as though even simple questions are criticism. I give the staff a kindness rating only because of the nurse. I do not even know what the other coordinator does; the nurse does everything.
