Lifting Reviews

I had a lift, but people think I lost weight

Lately, people around me often ask whether I lost weight. My weight has not changed much, but they say my face looks slimmer, perhaps because the lower part of my face has become more defined. Unless I tell them first that I had surgery, even people who do not know me well often cannot tell, so it seems to have turned out naturally. I had a mini facelift and facial liposuction together at [Clinic A]. Looking at it now, I like my jawline too, but personally I am most satisfied with the deep cheek area. Previously, my deep cheek fat descended and felt as though tissue was folding next to my nasolabial folds. Even with a neutral expression, shadows formed around the nasolabial folds, making my lower face look uneven and heavy. It might not have looked extremely severe to others, but once it started bothering me, that was all I saw every time I looked in the mirror T_T. Now, as the sagging area has been lifted and refined, my nasolabial folds no longer look as deep as before. Since I also had facial liposuction, the volume around my jaw has decreased, making my lower face look much lighter from the front. It does not look as though my face has been tightly pulled, which is what I like most. It feels closer to having only the sagging parts of my original face refined. At first, I considered nasolabial fold filler or lasers. I wondered whether surgery was necessary, but during the consultation, I was told that in my case, rather than simply filling the folds, the descended deep cheek fat needed to be addressed as well, so I decided on a mini facelift. Because my face shape has somewhat prominent cheekbones, I was worried surgery might make them stand out more, but they showed me directly in the mirror which direction they would lift, so it was easy to understand. I also liked that they would support it vertically to suit my face shape. At first, there was swelling and a pulling sensation along the sides of my face. I drank swelling-relief tea and went on walks often, but returning to everyday life did not take as long as I expected. The incision was made inside the hairline, and now it is covered by my hair, so I do not worry much about the incision site. At follow-up visits, they did not simply check the incision; they also asked whether I had any discomfort in daily life and reminded me what to be careful about, which was quite reassuring for my first surgery. I used to check my nasolabial folds and sagging cheeks first in the mirror, but now I notice my entire facial contour first. Rather than looking dramatically changed like a different person, my heavy, tired-looking lower face has been naturally refined, so I am satisfied. I deliberated a lot about continuing laser maintenance, but now I think it was good that I had the mini facelift and facial liposuction together.
