I live outside Seoul, so I looked things up in advance through an app before going. There was a place famous for clearly opening up the outer and lower corners of the eyes, so after reading lots of reviews, I booked there right away without looking elsewhere. First of all, my eyes themselves were not upturned, but the shape of the flesh underneath? was raised upward, so my eyes looked closed off! I had lower canthoplasty about 4-5 years ago, but even right after that surgery, I did not feel much of an effect, so I went into this thinking this lateral and lower canthoplasty would be my last.
I remember not waiting very long before consulting with the consultant. The consultation was just an explanation of lateral and lower canthoplasty, how the surgery would proceed, and so on, nothing especially unusual, so I will not write about it at length. But the person who consulted with me was honestly so kind! The wait to meet the director became quite long because the surgeries before me kept getting delayed, but the consultant took care of me until the end, so I did not feel upset at all. For reference, the consultation with the director was very short. It seemed like he just looked at my eyes and checked how much space there was to open them. Since the consultant had explained things thoroughly, I did not feel anything was lacking.
I will not separately write about before or during surgery, since those are parts everyone hears about and understands similarly, but right after surgery, from the moment I first looked in the mirror, I could tell they had opened them as much as they possibly could. (For reference, I told them I did not mind if it was excessive and asked them to open them as much as possible.) I got my prescription and came home, and while it may differ by person, it hurt quite a bit for me ㅠ Maybe because of the stitches or because the whites of my eyes were swollen, it hurt quite a lot at first when I looked to the side, and that period seemed to last a while for me,, But even at a glance, they were well opened and I was satisfied, so it was bearableㅎ Today is week 1, and I had about half the stitches removed. I am so satisfied!! My eyes are a bit uneven, but it seems like they designed them to match as much as possible, so I really like it. They said they open lateral and lower canthoplasty refreshingly, and it is real!
