After deciding on rhinoplasty and looking into clinics, I went to [Clinic A] Plastic Surgery on the recommendation of a famous influencer. I had another procedure at a place recommended by that influencer and loved it, so I went there first this time without hesitation, but I was very disappointed T_T. This was my first surgery, and my nose was completely untouched—I had never had threads or filler. My nose was naturally high and large, and my skin stretched very well; according to other specialists, it was a very low-difficulty case. Yet they said I needed a custom 3D implant, donor rib cartilage because my septum was too small to use, and that I would be too old for autologous costal cartilage… Later, another clinic said autologous costal cartilage was possible, meaning I was not that old… They also said my skin was thin and could show through, so the 3D implant should be wrapped in donated dermis. It sounded like a major reconstruction just from the explanation, and the price was 8 million won, lol. I walked right out. I do not know about the doctor's skill, but it sounded too sales-driven. In the end, I used septal cartilage and had a successful surgery elsewhere.
