Eye Surgery Considerations

[Clinic A] Community Review

Because this was male rhinoplasty, I did not want anything overly dramatic or obviously operated on. At the same time, I wanted to improve the blunt-looking nasal tip and overall dull impression caused by my bulbous nose. I looked mainly for places that do refined noses that suit a male face, then consulted Dr. Lee Seung-chan at [Clinic A] and underwent my first rhinoplasty. During the consultation, he first asked what look I wanted, then explained separately which parts of my current nose could be sufficiently improved and which parts might look unnatural if I became too ambitious. I also liked his point that, for a male nose, it is more important to preserve a masculine impression suited to the face than simply making it high and pointed. What I wanted was a natural but clearly changed, subtly refined nose. He retained a rounded rather than overly pointed nasal tip, refined the bulbous nose, and created a natural, masculine straight bridge line. He explained clearly why autologous costal cartilage would be used and how he would shape the tip, so I decided on surgery as soon as I saw the planned line. After surgery, the dull impression from my bulbous nose was neatly refined. From the side as well, the straight line looks natural without seeming excessively raised. It seems to have turned out as the subtly refined male nose I had imagined. My nose does not stand out on its own, yet my overall impression looks distinctly more sophisticated, so I am satisfied.
