I was concerned about under-eye fat, so I had a consultation. They definitely seemed strongly opposed to fat grafting. I had not originally planned to get fat grafting, so I liked that aspect, but even after I said I had no intention of doing it, they kept trying to explain why I should not, so that is probably something to keep in mind.
They said they use both internal and external fixation. After looking it up, I saw people say that external fixation is convenient for doctors but not for patients, so I am somewhat deliberating.
They said the surgery takes one hour, that I would need to keep tape on for a week afterward, and that I would need to wash my face very carefully until week three.
