I had been researching forehead lift surgery for a long time, long before forehead lifts became as well-known as they are now, and at some point ㅌㅇㄹ had become a place that people considering a forehead lift tend to check out at least once while shopping around. I finally went too. First, the consultation fee is 10,000 won if it’s your first consultation, and from a follow-up consultation onward, it’s 20,000 won. I had made an appointment, so I saw the consultant first right away without any waiting. After a brief consultation, the director was in surgery, so I waited about 10–15 minutes, then had about 35–40 minutes of consultation with the director, and afterward about 5 more minutes with the consultant. Both the consultant and the director were very kind, and they explained things professionally and well. The consultant’s role at first was to understand the image I wanted and what kind of surgery I wanted, and she pointed out what might be excessive or the wrong surgical direction lol. She also corrected things I had misunderstood, like “sub-brow lifting must never be done because it leaves severe scars.” The director looked at me extremely thoroughly and carefully, and reviewed everything I had studied, telling me what was right or wrong and in what way the correct parts were correct. He examined things very comprehensively, like how much I open my eyes using forehead tension, how much my forehead skin and eyelid skin stretch, the vertical length of my upper eyelid area, my forehead length when I open my eyes using forehead tension, and so on. He measured each thing with a ruler and tried shaping eyelid lines with a wire on my eyes many times, checking everything in detail. He also plainly explained all the possible side effects that can happen with a forehead lift. It felt like he wasn’t denying that plastic surgery inevitably has both gains and losses, and that it’s only for people who can focus more on the gains than the losses. (It didn’t feel like he was irresponsibly justifying possible postoperative side effects,, but rather that he was talking without exaggerating the benefits I could get from his surgery, so I trusted him.) I’ve seriously studied faces a lot over n years, and because my face is the type where it’s hard to improve many things with just one surgery, I went in very worried. The director said the same thing too (ㅠㅠ), so I felt like he was seeing things properly, and that he really was recommending practical and necessary surgery while giving reasons. I learned clearly that the benefits I could get from a forehead lift wouldn’t be huge, and even doing forehead reduction together wouldn’t be huge either (ㅠㅠㅠ), but if I were to touch anything on my face, forehead lift would definitely be the first thing I should do.. I also liked that he gave exact numbers, like where would be lengthened by how many mm and how many mm would be excised, so I could imagine the surgical result more tangibly..! And I liked that his aesthetic standards seemed to be in a similar direction to mine. There was no pressure at all to pay a deposit, and even in the consultation with the consultant after seeing the director, she explained possible postoperative side effects in great detail. There was no suggestion at all about advertising photos, not even a mention, and they said the surgery prices here are fixed.
For now, I liked that just through the consultation I was able to understand well what surgery I need and how much. I’m really scared, so I’ve already gone to a lot of consultations, and I’m thinking of visiting about five more places, but if I really end up having surgery... I have a feeling this place will be among my final top three candidates right before choosing the final clinic haha
