I had three types of facial contouring in 2016. For my cheekbones, I had both side cheekbones and 45-degree cheekbones, and for my chin, my face was originally on the small side, but I had a retruded chin, so I was getting fillers. My stress was the 45-degree cheekbones, and rather than living my whole life getting fillers, I had lengthening T-osteotomy chin advancement. Square jaw surgery was a bonus.
Anyone who has been for consultations would know, but the surgeon doesn't push things, and even though I kept asking him to do double-jaw surgery, he said I wasn't a double-jaw case and refused. My surgical review from back then: first of all, the surgeon was extremely meticulous and warm, and because of that, even the staff were truly the height of kindness.
On February 14, 2023, while removing the pins, I had my chin tip shaved. The reason was that at the time I had a retruded chin, so I begged him to make my chin longer. The surgeon tried to stop me then, but I printed out a large photo of a celebrity with a long chin and lay down.
My cheekbones turned out extremely well, and he made my chin slim? and slightly longer, just as I wanted. At that time, I really loved it.
But after turning 30 and seeing aging set in, my chin suddenly felt long, so while removing the pins, I asked him to redo it into the rounded line that's trendy these days.
Honestly it wasn't even that long, but I was fixated on Jennie's face, so this time I asked him to make it as short as possible, but the surgeon said my midface is long, so that wouldn't work, and said he would only shave a little.
I paid for pin removal and chin tip surgery and had the surgery.
Honestly, the reason I'm writing this is that I'm not a plastic surgery clinic model, not a broker, and I gain nothing from this.
Even though a lot of time has passed, the doctor's kindness is unchanged, and he is honest and doesn't overtreat. Since I was already a previous patient, I only needed pin removal, but he listened to my concerns, and even though a revision must have been bothersome, he only added about the cost of the first surgery (and it wasn't because anything was wrong, just because my aesthetic standards had changed). Also, I'm sensitive to pain, so during my hospitalization I kept saying it hurt and whining, but the nurses kept taking care of me kindly (I'm such a difficult patientㅜㅜ)
And although it's only day 3 so I don't know yet, on day 1, when I briefly took off the compression band, I saw that my chin tip had become rounded and naturally shorter.
Now it's day 3. I'm a wimp, so the gum suture area hurt so much that I called the nurse at 10 p.m.ㅋㅋㅋ She remembered me, saying I was the patient who had pain from pin removal and shavingㅋㅋㅋ and reassured me that it was okay.
The swelling is now day 3, and my lips look like a duck bill and my jaw looks square. My gums throb ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ
For meals, I had New Care, soy milk, and boiled soft tofu.
I'll write another review, but next time I'll try uploading photos.
