Revision Rhinoplasty Review After Visiting 6 Clinics

1. Limited CT scan, consultation fee: X

The director was extremely confident.. gave off a “just trust me and follow along” vibe Didn’t show me a single before-and-after photo, but maybe that’s because I didn’t ask.. Diagnosis was that it was borderline when it came to contracture.. The consultation was fairly short, and the manager was unremarkable, so I don’t remember much about them Since I’m still young, it felt a bit awkward to recommend harvesting autologous costal cartilage, but they said it would be good if used There was absolutely no pressure to book that day or any review-discount gimmicks, which I liked

Silicone removal + donated dermis + autologous costal cartilage: 800 With donated rib cartilage: 660 Sedation anesthesia

2. Guk Won-seok CT scan: X, consultation fee: 10,000

The director wasn’t scary at all; instead, they were gentle and kind They did sigh sometimes I hadn’t asked first, but they showed me a lot of before-and-after photos The consultation also seems to go on a long time if you ask a lot of questions I definitely felt I could trust their skill Diagnosed as definite contracture The manager here was also unremarkable, and I liked that there was no pressure to book that day or any discount But the cost was insane

Silicone removal + donated dermis + ear cartilage: 770 If autologous costal cartilage is used: 1320.. wow Sedation anesthesia

3. Made Young CT scan, consultation fee: X

Even if the director seemed a little annoyed, they answered everything kindly Diagnosed as contracture caused by chronic inflammation They said removal had to come first, then I would need to wait 3 months before revision surgery But strangely, they suggested using silicone again I completely lost interest when they said they’d give a discount if I wrote a solid review on Babitalk and Gangnam Unni They even said to write the review after getting feedback There was no pressure to book that day at all But the good part was that, without me even asking, they said they would show me the CCTV footage, and since there are four anesthesiologists on site, the surgery itself would likely be safe

Silicone after removal + silicone + autologous costal cartilage: 1155 With review writing + photo submission: 1045...? I’m not sure General anesthesia

4. Dareum CT scan, consultation fee: 10,000

Of all the places I visited, the manager here felt the most professional At the same time, they treated me in a friendly way The director here was very thorough with palpation And while looking at the CT images, they pointed out a characteristic of my facial bones that no one else had ever mentioned I really liked that part But they diagnosed me as not having contracture because the nasal skin was soft At first they spoke a bit vaguely, but when I kept asking, they said it didn’t seem to be contracture For the bridge of the nose, it felt like I could choose either silicone or donated dermis, whichever I wanted Their style seemed to be safe and natural There was no pressure to book that day here either After visiting, I liked it so much that I almost didn’t want to go to any more consultations elsewhere

Silicone removal + silicone or donated dermis + autologous costal cartilage + ear cartilage, using all of them: 700 Sedation anesthesia

5. Cobyju CT scan: X, consultation fee: 10,000

They said the CT would cost 20,000, but I just didn’t get it I went with no expectations at all, but I was satisfied The manager was strangely robotic, to an unbelievable degree But that absolutely does not mean they were rude.. maybe just because their expression never changed The director was very calm and kind Here too, they diagnosed me as not having contracture because the skin was soft They did the inside-the-nose examination that ENT clinics do They checked my septum and even touched my ears, then said the cartilage was too weak, so it seemed to have risen.. They said to use silicone again They showed me a ton of before-and-after photos The manager said that if I left a 100,000 won deposit, the price would drop from 900 to 820, which startled me, but unusually, that was refundable except for the consultation fee

Silicone removal + silicone + autologous costal cartilage: 900 If I pay a 100,000 won reservation deposit on the day: 820 (refundable) General anesthesia

6. Cha Min CT scan, consultation fee: 10,000

I arrived on time, but the consultation with the director didn’t start until more than an hour later Maybe they accept overlapping consultation appointments.. I only waited this long here The director said chronic inflammation was highly likely, so removal had to be done first no matter what For revision surgery after removal, it’s only possible after 3 weeks if the condition is good, and if the bacterial test is negative as well If the condition is not good or the bacterial test is positive, then you have to wait 6 months.. I almost lost interest here, but They showed me many photos of patients with really severe contracture noses and firmly said that if it’s inflammation, it can truly get to the worst stage, so you have to put out the fire first They said rhinoplasty is most dangerous when revising while inflammation is present.. Honestly, right before coming here I had gone to two places that said it wasn’t contracture, so I had some expectations I was really scared here Of all the places I visited, they were the most focused on safety by far Honestly, doing the revision 3 weeks later is a luxury, and even if that were possible, they said silicone would absolutely not be allowed There was no pressure to book that day, but they said there’s an event if you reserve in May and have surgery by the end of June Hmm..

With a photo that only covers the eyes + review condition Silicone removal followed by donated dermis + autologous costal cartilage: 990 1175 without the event

I wrote this as I remembered it... I started going from early May, so honestly I don’t really remember Limited very well I had consultations in the order I wrote them, from 1 to 6, and at first I thought, well, this is as expected.. then I can use silicone again, jackpot My feelings changed like that, but now I’m disappointed again

The director at Cha Min is not trying to scare me or anything I just think I was expecting too much on my own.. Honestly, I think Cha Min is the last place I should choose, but if I have to wait 6 months for revision, I don’t know if I can endure that

The funny thing is that after every consultation, the last hospital ends up being my favorite lol (except for number 3...) I think I’m way too easily swayed

I hope this helps everyone who is thinking about revision surgery...

If I need to write it in initials, please let me know...
