Before after 3-week review of bulbous nose + hump nose surgery
I went after being introduced by an acquaintance, and the inside of the clinic was clean and the consultant was very kind. Actually, I had already paid a deposit at another clinic, so if I did it at GL, I was in a situation where I couldn’t get part of that deposit back. But after meeting Director HJH, I felt trust and I think I came to feel that I definitely had to do it here. I had gone only intending to have a consultation, but they took a CT scan, explained the problems with my nose, and explained the surgical method in a way that was easy to understand, so I felt I could trust this person and leave it to them. Right after surgery, because it was general anesthesia, my throat hurt so much that it was hard, but from after I drank water on the way home, the scratchiness in my throat went away a lot, and above all, I had absolutely no pain, so I was very relieved. Since the nose shouldn’t be pressed, I was slightly uncomfortable because I couldn’t sleep in the direction I wanted, and because it felt like I was having a nosebleed, but I never once woke up because my nose was throbbing or hurting. I went on days 1/2/5/7, and on days 1/2 I had an antibiotic IV and disinfection treatment. On day 1, the director personally came to check on me and explained that the surgery went well and what precautions to take. On days 5/7, I had splint removal, disinfection/suture removal, and disinfection respectively. The disinfection didn’t hurt, and once the splint was removed, it felt so refreshing.. Suture removal stung a lot, but it was bearable. I was anxious, so I first put on makeup when it was around week 3, and because I did it carefully, I didn’t really feel any discomfort in my nose. As more time passes, the nose that used to feel like it wasn’t mine seems to be gradually becoming like my own skin, so compared with the beginning, I can touch it much more comfortably now, and externally it seems to have become much more natural. Honestly, on the day I had surgery, I was already moved just by having a nasal tip that I hadn’t had before, but when I see the hump gone after the splint was removed and the nose line becoming natural, I’m very satisfied!
