3-Month Review After Cheekbone Surgery

Before<Before>Before<Before >Before<After>Before<After>It’s been about 3 months since I had cheekbone surgery, and I’m very satisfied. Facial asymmetry was my biggest complex, and after thinking about it for 3 years, I found a hospital that gave me confidence in the safety and results of the surgery, so I decided to go through with it.

After doing a lot of research, I visited 3 hospitals and decided to have it done at Soda Plastic Surgery. First of all, this hospital focuses only on facial contouring surgery, and there is only one director, so I trusted it more. The moment I met Director Kwon Jae-hyun, my fear of surgery disappeared, and unlike other doctors, he considers the overall balance of the face.

Everyone said recovery would be difficult because of a sore throat after surgery due to general anesthesia, but at Soda Plastic Surgery, if you only have cheekbone surgery, you can choose between general anesthesia or sedation anesthesia without any additional fee, so I chose sedation anesthesia, which allows faster recovery after surgery. Thanks to that, my condition recovered very quickly without any throat pain. They also provided swelling care after surgery, so I think my recovery was faster.

For the first week, I couldn’t open my mouth, so I ate porridge, risotto, and bread. From week 2, I ate everything I wanted except foods that were excessively hard or tough. At week 1, I had less swelling compared with other people, but during weeks 2-3, I was worried because my swelling went down more slowly than others. However, from one month after surgery, it noticeably went down, and from two months on, my face returned to how it had been before. People around me all thought I had gained weight, and from two months later, they asked why I had lost so much weight. Starting around the 3-month mark, people around me asked why my face kept getting smaller, and they seemed to think I had lost weight because they could tell I had done something but didn’t know what.

The swelling still comes and goes depending on what I ate the day before or how well I slept, but overall, a lot of it has gone down. As you can see in the photos, compared with before, the asymmetry has been corrected, and my facial line has become very smooth, so I’m looking forward to what’s ahead even more.

Lastly, not only the hospital director but also the manager and everyone there were so kind that it felt like I was receiving personal care.
