Facelift Consultation with Director G.B.S. at O.R. Plastic Surgery Clinic

First, I went for a consultation because my cheeks are sagging badly due to zygomatic nonunion.

I asked about the midface area (fat repositioning through lower blepharoplasty) and whether, for a mini lift, the incision could be made only up to the front of the ear/cheek instead of extending behind the ear and behind the cheek...

They said that because of the amount of excess skin, it would have to go past the earlobe. And when I asked about doing the midface area together... they said to try the facelift first, and if the effect still seems insufficient afterward, then do the midface area.

They said it’s better to watch and decide rather than being too ambitious from the start....

Also, I’m currently considering revision zygoma surgery because of the nonunion. Since there are many hospitals that do a lift together during revision surgery, I asked about it, and they said they used to do them together at the clinic before... but later everything sagged again, so now they don’t do them together... They said doing them separately is better in terms of results....

Even in my own opinion, although it takes more time and the difficulty basically doubles, it does make sense to touch the bone, let the swelling go down, and then do the lift...

In that sense, the fact that they didn’t over-recommend things really made me trust them.

I still need to go to a few more consultations... and I also have consultation appointments for revision zygoma surgery.... so I’ll have to think about it more before deciding.... but I do trust the doctor. There was no excessive treatment recommendation either.... ^^
