Honestly, I couldn’t remember the clinic name for a long time, so I was looking through a list of plastic surgery clinics near Sinsa Station on Naver, and I thought, wasn’t it a name that somehow reminded me of Instagram…?? But sure enough, when I saw the clinic location and the director’s face, it was the right place lolololol I remember there was a Starbucks nearby and I drank lemon tea
First of all, it did reattach somewhat. They called it a wide-opening canthoplasty, so I thought it would open up dramatically, and of course during years 1-2 it really did feel super opened up. Looking at photos from that time, my eyes were seriously huge
My eyes weren’t small to begin with, and I naturally already had double eyelids, so why did I do it? Because I followed my friend lololololol I liked my eye size itself, and I thought my eyes were the prettiest part of my face, including my double eyelids and all, but what always bothered me was my clam-like eyes…!
That unexplainable stuffy feeling… I thought if just the outer corners opened up clearly, my impression would look more open, so I decided to do it! And to start with the conclusion, I’m extremely satisfied
First of all, my eye shape itself was a bit upturned like a cat’s, but my facial features are quite defined and my T-zone is strong, so I had a strong masculine image When I was in elementary school and used to pull all my hair completely back and tie it tightly, my mom’s friend asked if I was a boy. Damn that awful woman, I will remember this incident, fuck
So upturned eyes are kind of a huge trend these days, like Hyein? You know the NewJeans cat-like eyes, people are crazy about those eyes, but with that kind of eye shape on my face, I’d just become the face of some crazy woman from an Ito Junji manga So during the consultation, I said I wanted my clam-like eyes to be opened up clearly, and I hoped my eye shape would come down a little so my fierce impression would become softer. Now, the actual eye-size change is honestly really tiny, and I think most of it has reattached, but what’s certain is that I absolutely do not have that clam-eye feeling anymore And my eye shape came down very slightly! It became more of a straight eye shape, and my impression seriously improved so much. I’ve now returned from Ito Junji to a slice-of-life story lololol
Anyway, I didn’t have any side effects from the surgery, and my swelling was really on the low side too, so compared with my friend (she had eye surgery at another clinic on the same day), I genuinely had almost no discomfort. This is more about swelling differences than clinic differences, so keep in mind that the degree of swelling definitely differs by person!!!
And what changed after surgery: eye discharge also gets stuck at the outer back side of my eyes lololololol Other than that, nothing. Honestly, I was so satisfied after this surgery that I told the friend who encouraged me to get posterior canthoplasty that I was massively grateful
Anyway, if you’re worried about fierce-looking eyes or clam-like eyes like me? I seriously freaking recommend it. Honestly, at this price, I got an insanely cost-effective paid item.
