I had non-incisional ptosis correction before, but because my eyes are uneven in size, I visited 3 places for quotes for revision surgery. 1. Director B.J.H. at M.T.B. First, there is a consultation fee of 10,000 won. After consulting with the consultant, I consulted with the director, then had another consultation with the consultant. They recommended incisional ptosis correction on both eyes + brow lift. They explained in detail that because my facial bone structure is like this, there is no space for canthoplasty, etc., and kindly explained how I would change if I had the recommended procedures. When the consultant gave me the quote after the consultation, there was a slight feeling of pressure to book, saying they would remove the VAT if I reserved that day. The price was shocking. Ptosis correction + brow lift, VAT included, was a shocking price.
2. Director G.J.H. at C.S.T. No consultation fee. They recommended natural adhesion double eyelid surgery + ptosis correction only on the one uneven eye + fat removal. They said I really only needed to do exactly what was necessary, so when I asked if I didn’t need canthoplasty or a brow lift, they firmly said they could create the design I wanted without needing those things. I felt they were very conscientious and seemed proud of their technique. Among the 3 clinics, this was the only one that recommended natural adhesion non-incisional surgery while also saying eyelid fat removal was possible. There was no pressure to book at all, so it was fine.
3. Director S.Y.H. at O.O.B. There was no consultation fee. Since it was definitely a large clinic, there were many people, and I waited an hour and a half. It went in the order of consultant consultation, director consultation, then consultant consultation again. For surgery, they recommended incisional ptosis correction on both eyes + eyelid fat removal + brow lift + lower canthoplasty + lateral canthoplasty. I asked about non-incisional ptosis correction, and they said it was possible, but that fat removal would require a partial incision of 5-7 mm above to remove the fat. For the price, they said they would give a discount if I paid a reservation deposit that day. I felt the pressure to pay a deposit was strong. When I said I would think about it and contact them without paying a deposit, they said then I couldn’t get the discount and would have to have surgery at the pre-discount price. They said if I paid the deposit first and wanted to cancel, they would refund 100% within a week, so I did pay the deposit, but I will probably get a refund. After leaving the clinic, I really felt like I had been taken advantage of.
