BeforeI had three types of facial contouring surgery on February 23, and today is finally day 7!! I had cheekbone reduction, square jaw reduction, and masseter reduction!
My cheekbones and jaw were both developed, so my face looked completely wide and flat, and nothing I did looked pretty. When I wore turtlenecks or shirts, my face looked even bigger.. I was so stressed that tying my hair up was almost unimaginable, and I was just busy covering my face with my hairㅠㅠ Even when I took photos, my face shape didn’t look pretty, so you know how hopeless that feelsㅎ On top of that, I also had asymmetry, so thanks to that my Photoshop skills improved like crazy^_^
On the day of surgery, I fasted for 8 hours (not even water) and arrived at the hospital! I took photos, washed my face, brushed my teeth, gargled, and changed into surgical clothes. It was my first time under general anesthesia and my first major surgery, so I was so nervous right up until the surgery that I thought my heart was going to jump out.... The director came and designed it one more time, then I went in for surgery! Contrary to what I expected, I must have fallen asleep quickly. When I closed and opened my eyes, the surgery was already over, and I was moved to the recovery room!
Before surgery, when I looked up reviews, I saw a lot saying it was hard, like feeling nauseous or vomiting, so I was scared, but I think I was better than expected. I asked them to give me painkillers, slept deeply, and then moved to a regular hospital room! Oh, since you stay in the recovery room longer than expected, I recommend taking care of any urgent messages in advance!!
I had to be hospitalized for one day, and I was a little worried because I was alone without a guardian. But they checked my condition every hour, and the hospital staff took really good care of me so I wouldn’t feel uncomfortable. Around the evening, they brought me water and soy milk in a syringe and told me to drink it, but strangely I wasn’t hungry or thirsty, so I didn’t eat anything until discharge! The surgical pain was not as bad as I expected, and maybe because of the anesthesia, my head hurt a lot at dawn (kind of like a hangover headache, you know that unpleasant kind of headache? It felt like that coming on really strong). They came right away and gave me painkillers, so I was able to sleep again. Also, they check the blood drain every hour. Since the incision was inside the mouth, the inside of my mouth was throbbing a little too, but when the blood drain tube got pulled, I think that hurt the most. I seriously asked by the hour when the blood drain could be removed .......
After discharge, I came home and it was a war against swelling.......! Like most reviews say, day 3 was the most swollen (I really worried my face might burst, seriously), and for me it suddenly went down a lot on day 4! Still, I don’t look human yet. It just went down a lot compared to when it was at its maximum swelling? Since day 4, the swelling has been gradually going downㅎㅎ My mouth still doesn’t open well, and I’m eating things like porridge, steamed egg, and ice cream by slurping them down, then taking my medicine! Thanks to that, I’m losing weight too, total gain(?) The most uncomfortable things are nasal congestion, runny nose, and phlegm.... It’s so bad I can barely sleep. Nosebleeds and bloody phlegm keep coming out, but that also started getting better around day 5. For reference, until day 4 you have to keep going to the hospital for intraoral disinfection and antibiotic shots! I just thought of it as going for a walk back and forth. Even though there’s still a lot of swelling, when I look in the mirror I can see the line has been refined, so I’m satisfied!! My face photos still look uglier than before surgery ^^,, so I’ll attach the CT photos together!!
